This quote comes from the book “Cruel Beauty” by Rosamund Hodge , the reason why I chose this quote was because it reminded me of the childhood fear of the dark and how it can still translate to adulthood. When I first thought of a imagary for it I was inspired by the movie “The Babadook” hence the shadow figure apperence, I also wanted to give a type of contrast to give a feeling of eeries which is why I made the shadow eyes red as well as the young girl. I wanted to give the illusion that the monster had lock in on it’s prey. My font choice was used beucase of how the desing make it look like the text was carved, as well how the O’s made haunting looking eyes.
